To upscale an already grand operation takes a flick of the wand for Sabyasachi Mukherjee. To celebrate his long history in Hyderabad with a new store, the designer threw a luncheon fit for kings and queens.
The Nizam of Hyderabad’s collection of gem-studded heirlooms is an attraction that makes up part of India’s jewellery legacy. The Nawabi flair for life, embedded in the heritage of the city, is a lesson on living in splendour and style, with an appreciation for beautiful things and objets d’art. In that aspect, luxury and Hyderabad’s cultural landscape have a strong bond. It’s where a discerning set, who love their monogrammed heirlooms as much as their jewels, have chosen to reside. So when Sabyasachi Mukherjee decided to explore the jewellery vein with his brand, it made sense to revisit his old haunt—Hyderabad, a luxury lover’s nest, , seemed like the perfect spot for his brand to explore this chapter.
