Her great-grandfather moved from Punjab to Thailand around 1930s, laying the foundation for their family in Bangkok. While deeply rooted in Indian culture, Laxmi embodies a harmonious blend of Indian and Thai influences, reflecting a life enriched by her multicultural heritage.
How has your family's journey from Punjab to Bangkok shaped your identity?
It hasn't changed who I am but rather strengthened the way we were brought up. We were always reminded of our Indian roots and values, no matter where we lived. My family has always believed that while we live in Bangkok and embrace the culture here, at heart, we are Indian. This perspective has shaped my identity and how I navigate life in Thailand.
