Girl power!

A host of top athletes from Britain and beyond will celebrate a memorable 12 months of sporting action in the Sports Personality of the Year Awards. Gabby Logan, Alex Scott and Clare Balding present the ceremony from Salford, and there are a number of women superstars likely to be in the running for the evening's main trophy.

'It's been another big year for sport,' says Gabby. 'And it's been another big year for women's sport, with England's Lionesses winning the Euros and the Red Roses winning the Rugby World Cup!'
