On 25 November 1984, music superstars such Sting, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet and George Michael gathered in a London studio to record the charity hit Do They Know It's Christmas? The song was written by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure in aid of the famine in Ethiopia and was a No.1.
