Cock-a-doodle-doo! Aardman Animations, creators of Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep, have made a sequel to their beloved 2000 comedy Chicken Run – the highest- grossing stop-motion animated film in cinema history – and it should be an eggs-plosion of fun!

The original film was set on a Yorkshire egg farm, where cruel owner, Mrs Tweedy (voiced by Miranda Richardson), planned to put the chickens into pies. That was until rebellious hen Ginger (Julia Sawalha) and American rooster Rocky (Mel Gibson) led the flock on a great egg-scape.

Nearly 25 years later, Ginger (now voiced by Thandiwe Newton) and Rocky (now voiced by Zachary Levi) are heading for a new adventure in Netflix’s Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget.

Since the chickens flew the coop, they have been living an idyllic life in a bird sanctuary. But when they discover that Mrs Tweedy (a returning Miranda Richardson) is hatching another fowl plan – to turn chickens into nuggets – Ginger and her feathered friends must break into their nemesis’ compound and save chickenkind!
