After starring as laid-back landscaper Mal in hit BBC1 comedy Amandaland, Samuel Anderson is showing a more intense side in his latest role as Shetland's new procurator fiscal, Matt Blake.
The newcomer debuts in the opener on Wednesday 5 November, and is in charge of the investigation into the murder of Eadie Tulloch, with DI Ruth Calder (Ashley Jensen) and DI Alison 'Tosh' McIntosh (Alison O'Donnell) on the case. But in this week's episode, the detectives push a suspect too far during an interview - and Matt is left to pick up the pieces.
