AMANDA HOLDEN and SIMON COWELL on what to expect from this year's variety spectacular
-
BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT
SATURDAY, 7 PM, ITV1 ENTERTAINMENT
The stage is set for amazing acrobats, magnificent magicians, sensational singers and a pole dancing seagull (yes, really!) as ITV1’s entertainment extravaganza Britain’s Got Talent bursts back on to our screens this week. But changes are afoot…
For the 18th series, the auditions move from London to Blackpool, where returning hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will be waiting in the wings at the seaside resort’s famed Winter Gardens to chat to the acts.
Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli will again be casting their verdicts, with social-media sensation KSI making his guest-judge debut to fill in for Bruno on some of the audition days.
Later in the run, there will also be a format twist as the live shows, which are again being held at London’s Eventim Apollo, are set to air on consecutive Saturday nights rather than being stripped across one week.
Here, Simon, 65, and Amanda, 54, reveal why we should expect the unexpected…
