Landing on ITVX this week following its debut last year on Disney+ (where it’s still available to stream), eight-episode Renegade Nell is setin1705 and centres around recently widowed and fiercely independent Londoner Nell Jackson (Derry Girls stars Louisa Harland), who returns to Tottenham from war, only to find herself framed for the murder of a nobleman.

As she tries to clear her name, Nell goes on the run with her younger sisters - resourceful Roxy (The Fettys’ Bo Bragason) and adventurous George (Babs star Florence Keen) - and word begins to spread of her astonishing fighting abilities, gifted to her by a magical, mischievous spirit named Billy Blind (Zed Lasso’s Nick Mohammed).
