It’s o-fish-ally Christmas! Another family bedtime staple from author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler swims on to BBC1, and this year, it’s a splash-tacular story set in an enchanting underwater world.

Adapted by Magic Light Pictures, animation Tiddler follows a tiny fish who dreams up big, imaginative tales every day to excuse his lateness for school. From exploring shipwrecks and diving with dolphins to riding seahorses and being captured by a squid, his adventures seem far-fetched to his classmates but are loved by his loyal friend, Little Johnny Dory.
