David Baddiel and Hugh Dennis reunite for a bike ride across France

David Baddiel and Hugh Dennis first worked together on radio sketch show The Mary Whitehouse Experience, which transferred to TV, back in the 1980s. Now both in their early 60s, the old friends are saddling up for a four-part travelogue in which they spend two weeks cycling across France, from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean.

This week takes them from the west coast of France to the city of Bordeaux, the Garonne canal and a chateau, the former home of artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec – and it’s fair to say their approaches to the pedalling challenge are somewhat different.
