Reel panic

Seth Rogen satirises the movie industry in Apple TV+'s new comedy series The Studio, which depicts the power struggles, high-stakes pressure and complete chaos of film-making.

The Superbad star co-created and co-directed the 10-parter with his long-time collaborator Evan Goldberg and also plays eternally flustered Matt Remick – the new studio head at Continental Studios – who craves approval while believing he's 'single-handedly keeping film alive'.

But when the studio's eccentric CEO Griffin Mills (Bryan Cranston) orders him to make a blockbuster based on the Kool-Aid drinks brand, how can Matt make both art and money while corporate demands, egocentric creatives and squabbling executives are driving the company into the ground?
