LOOK WHO'S BACK...

Elsbeth

Monday, 9pm, Sky Witness

Born in New York in 1962, Matthew Broderick found fame as the title character in cult 1987 movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off (inset), while his other big-screen credits include Inspector Gadget and Manchester by the Sea. Married to Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker, his recent TV work includes real-life businessman Richard Sackler in Painkiller and a fictionalised version of himself in Only Murders in the Building.

HIS NEW ROLE

In this week's episode of Elsbeth, Broderick guests as Lawrence Grey, whose college-admissions company helps the children of wealthy parents get into the school of their choice - for a hefty fee. But when Lawrence clashes with Ethan, the admissions director of an Ivy League university, he plans an elaborate murder during a fencing match. Can Elsbeth (Carrie Preston) crack the case? Look out, too, for Broderick's son, James Wilkie Broderick, as Carl, who works at Lawrence's company. 'I was so proud to work with my son James and everyone on Elsbeth,' says Broderick. 'I'm excited for the episode to come out! NEW FANTASY DRAMA
