Countryfile presenter Anita Rani joins Sir Rod Stewart in his rock-star mansion to talk about what the holidays mean to him in the first of her new festive airing of BBC1's My Life at Christmas.

As they sit by the fire, surrounded by decorations, the 80-year-old music icon, who performed in the coveted 'legends' slot at Glastonbury this year, shares his memories of his Christmases as a child, and how he went from being born in an attic in Highgate, London, to becoming one of the world's biggest rock stars.

'Going to Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster's home was magic. It absolutely didn't disappoint, says Rani, 48. 'First of all, his home is epic and beautiful, but also really homely.
