A chance encounter between two women from different backgrounds has deadly repercussions in BBC1's new four-part psychological thriller The Guest.

Fran (The Crow Girl actor Eve Myles) is a highly successful businesswoman living in an opulent mansion who meets young, down-on-her-luck Ria (Black Doves' Gabrielle Creevy).

'Fran is shopping in a supermarket when she first bumps into Ria. When she sees she is in trouble, accused of shoplifting, she steps in to protect her and offers her a job as her cleaner, explains Myles.
