Over the years, Oscar-winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese has told countless tales about his glittering career and now he's sharing his life story in Apple TV+'s documentary series Mr Scorsese.

Featuring expansive interviews with the director of such classic films as Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and Goodfellas, the five-parter explores how his early experiences informed his cinematic vision. In the first episode, Scorsese goes back to the 1940s when, growing up in New York's Lower East Side, he first became interested in movies.
