In a ceremony symbolizing the peaceful transfer of power, Donald Trump was sworn in as President of the United States for a second term on Jan. 20 at the nation's 60th inauguration. Standing inside the U.S. Capitol Rotunda, Trump, 78, and Vice President J.D. Vance, 40, took their oaths of office, vowing to protect and defend the Constitution. Usually held outside with the majestic Capitol dome as the backdrop, the inauguration was relocated indoors because of frigid temperatures. “The golden age of America begins right now,” said the 45th and now 47th President.
