When Dave Grohl announced on Sept. 10 that he'd fathered a daughter outside of his 21-year marriage to wife Jordyn Blum, it sent shock waves through an industry that has long considered the Foo Fighters musician the dedicated "nice guy" of the hardened rock and roll scene.
Grohl, 55, revealed the news in an Instagram post, saying that he plans to be a "loving and supportive parent" to his new daughter.
According to an insider, Blum, 48, whom Grohl married in 2003 and with whom he shares daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10, was also thrown for a loop. "She was shocked when she found out about the baby," says a source close to Blum. "Her friends are like family, and they rallied around her."
