Almost every Apple product is due an upgrade this year, report claims

Apple's product plans for 2025 revealed in full

We've only just started 2025, but already Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman has laid out Apple's entire year of product releases. With the report in hand, there might not be too many surprise announcements over the next 12 months.

First up, according to the report, is the MacBook Air. Both the 13-inch and 15-inch models will get an M4 chip, but very little else will change. Gurman says that Apple could drop the M3 version and keep the M2 model on sale alongside the new M4 laptop. It's expected to launch 'relatively soon', the report says.

After that, we will apparently see a slate of iOS and iPadOS products in the spring: the iPhone SE 4, a new entry-level iPad, an iPad Air refresh, and updated iPad Magic Keyboards. The iPhone SE 4 marks the first update to the device since 2022. The new version will get Els, an all-screen redesign and replace the Home button with Face ID. It'll get Apple Intelligence, which means a new chip and increased memory. Given the extensive redesign, Gurman cautions that its price could rise, although Apple may decide to keep the old model around as a low-cost alternative.

As for the entry-level iPad, this will also get Apple Intelligence compatibility, so we can expect to see it kitted out with the A17 Pro chip and 8GB of memory. The iPad Air, meanwhile, is likely to sport an M4 chip, matching the chip found in the iPad Pro and marking a significant step up over the M2 in the current iPad Air.

The iPad Pro, though, is unlikely to see a change until later in 2025 or even 2026.
