The Detective's Method
Champak
|December Second 2023
Cheeku rabbit and Blacky bear, who claimed to be highly capable detectives with a track record of solving complicated cases, had just set out for a morning walk when their attention was drawn to the house of Seth Tarachand panda.
Curious upon seeing a large crowd and the presence of the police, Cheeku and Blacky reached Seth Tarachand's house.
As soon as they learned about the theft that had occurred, they began talking loudly.
"Oh, a case of petty theft? It's pointless for us to stay here. Why should we get involved in such a small matter?" Blacky said, making a face.
"Exactly! It goes against our honour to pay attention to such a useless case. If it were a major issue, we would have taken on the case and solved it," Cheeku said proudly, catching the attention of the residents of Champakvan standing nearby.
"Hey, these are detectives Cheeku and Blacky!" pointed Heera deer.
Upon hearing this, Seth Tarachand, who was standing right there, approached them.
"I'm glad you're here, Detectives! Please, quickly catch the thief and recover my diamonds worth forty lakhs," Seth Tarachand said, tears welling up in his eyes.
"Sorry, Tarachand, but we don't handle petty theft cases," Cheeku and Blacky said together.
"This case is far from ordinary. It's still unknown how the thief managed to enter," Seth Tarachand explained hurriedly.
"Theft cases are not our expertise," Blacky said, folding his arms across his chest.
"Please, I beg you! My diamonds weren't even insured yet," Seth Tarachand pleaded repeatedly, irritating Cheeku and Blacky.
"What should we do now, Blacky? Tarachand is insisting," Cheeku said in a hushed tone.
"I thought everyone would be impressed by us and we could leave from here with pride, but we never anticipated this trouble," Blacky muttered.
"That's true, but what's our plan now?"
