A vengeful King Charles kicks Prince Harry and Meghan Markle out of Frogmore Cottage, their onetime forever home

Despite their short time there, Frogmore Cottage holds a lot of memories for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The 5,089-square-foot, five-bedroom residence is on the grounds of Frogmore House, which was the scene of their engagement shoot and wedding reception, and they got married at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, half a mile away. The late Queen Elizabeth II gifted the cottage to them as a wedding present in 2018, and their 3-year-old son, Archie, spent his first six months there. “We always saw Archie running around the garden, and maybe jumping in the queen’s pond,” Harry has said of envisioning the place as their forever home before they abruptly decamped to Montecito, Calif., in 2020. “That was all part of our future, and everything changed really, really quickly.”
