THE FORMER SUCCESSION STAR RETURNS TO TV IN A GRIPPING NEW ROLE

- Jenny Cooney

SARAH SNOOK 'It was a good challenge'

After finishing up as the cunning and ambitious Shiv Roy in Succession after four seasons – scoring herself two Golden Globes and an Emmy in the process – Sarah Snook was ready for her next challenge.

And that certainly came when she took on all 26 roles in the West End production of The Picture of Dorian Gray, which eventually made it to Broadway and landed her an Olivier Award and a Tony to add to her collection of accolades.

Next, the 37-year-old Australian actress returned to the small screen for twisty mystery All Her Fault (streaming on Binge), in which she plays Marissa, a mother from a wealthy Chicago neighbourhood whose 5-year-old son, Milo (Duke McCloud), goes missing.

I’m working so much at the moment. My husband works a little bit as well, but also does most of the primary parenting. When he has to work, we have to get a nanny, so we’re doing that at the same time we’re doing a story about your child going missing and all the things that could go wrong. I wasn’t thinking it through clearly, but I found the emotional foundation of parenting quite good to leap from.

You’ve played parents who have been separated from their child before – A Beautiful Life comes to mind. Does being a parent yourself change how you approach a character now?

Definitely. I haven’t watched
