LIFE IS ONLY GETTING BETTER FOR THE HOLLYWOOD SEX SYMBOL AS HE INTRODUCES THE WORLD TO A NEW STAR IN THE FAMILY

Rob Lowe - LEADER OF THE PACK

With his boyish good looks and cheeky grin, it’s hard to believe that 2023 marks four decades since Rob Lowe first captivated the world while making his big screen debut in The Outsiders. Now on the cusp of turning 60, a milestone he’ll celebrate next March, the ultimate ’80s teen heartthrob might be all grown up, but he’s still playing it cool.

“I’ve loved my fifties and I can honestly say that I feel better now than I have ever felt in my life,” the actor tells WHO. “I’m very grateful. Your fifties are the new twenties, which makes your sixties the new thirties, right?”

It helps that Lowe is in more demand than ever before. This year alone, he’s already popped up on screens reprising his role as Captain Owen Strand in 9-1-1: Lone Star and playing the lead in Netflix’s heartwarming family flick Dog Gone.

WILD CHILD

“It’s not a great recipe to success to give an 18-year-old male fame, money, drugs, and expect there not to be something that goes wrong,” Lowe said of his early Brat Pack days before his life went spectacularly off the rails.

But it is the actor’s latest project, playing eccentric biotech billionaire Ellis Dragon in Unstable, that hits closest to home. That’s chiefly because his real-life son John Owen Lowe has taken on the role of his on-screen offspring, playing Jackson, a character who is trying to get out from under his dad’s enormous shadow.
