Packs a PUNCH

Women are finally having their time in the sun - or should we say pitch, field or ring. From the booming AFLW to our beloved Matildas, female athletes are slowly getting the attention and recognition they deserve.

Take, for example, Aussie boxer Tina Rahimi.

Raised by her father, Michael, a former champion wrestler, the 29-year-old was perhaps destined to be an athlete - but, she tells WHO from her home in Sydney, where she is recovering from a hand injury, she never felt pressured to follow in her dad's footsteps.

"You could say I have an athletic background, but he didn't introduce me to boxing and he didn't force my sisters and me to do wrestling. We were never really around him doing his sport because he'd retired and he never forced us into doing combat sports," she says of her childhood.
