MARK RUFFALO SAVED BY A CRAZY DREAM

THE ACTOR OPENS UP ABOUT HIS SHOCK HEALTH DISCOVERY

While fans are used to watching Mark Ruffalo share other people's stories through his films, the star has quite the tale to tell about his own life.

Speaking to fellow actors Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett on the trio's Smartless podcast, Ruffalo opened up about discovering he had a brain tumour after a "crazy dream" sent him straight to the doctor.

"I had a brain tumour after the success of [film] You Can Count on Me [in 2000]," the 56-year-old revealed to the podcast hosts. "It's the craziest thing. I was actually shooting The Last Castle with [James] Gandolfini and Robert Redford and I had about a week left on that." With a 4am call to be on set, the star said he woke up an hour before, rattled by what he had just dreamt. "I woke up probably around three and I just had this crazy dream, you know, it wasn't like any other dream I ever had," Ruffalo continued. "It was just like, 'You have a brain tumour. It wasn't even a voice. It was just pure knowledge: 'You have a brain tumour, and you have to deal with it immediately!"
