HOW THE COUPLE ARE NAVIGATING THEIR NEW NORMAL AS THE ACTOR MOVES INTO A CARE HOME

When Bruce Willis met model Emma Heming at their mutual trainer's gym in 2007, he had been one of the world's biggest stars for three decades, but after his divorce from Demi Moore, he was down on love.

"I went from, 'F--k love,' to, 'Love is truly the answer," Willis told W magazine in 2009. "I would say, 'I'm alone, but I'm not lonely.' But I was just kidding myself. Then I started hanging around Emma and, on a day-to-day basis, my life became much happier."

After the couple's intimate Turks and Caicos wedding in 2009, Heming was content to let her charismatic husband take the spotlight while she raised their daughters, Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11.

"Opposites attract," is how she described their relationship to journalist Diane Sawyer on TV special Emma and Bruce Willis: The Unexpected Journey (streaming now on Disney+). "And I just loved watching him be him."
