THE MUSIC FESTIVAL HITS A BITTERSWEET FINAL NOTE WITH ELTON'S LAST UK GIG
It was the end of the yellow brick road for Sir Elton John on June 25, with the singer’s set at Glastonbury marking his final performance of his last UK tour. The 76-year-old wiped away tears as he farewelled fans on the famed music festival’s Pyramid Stage, belting out hit after hit for the sold-out crowd.
A gold suit, his signature tinted glasses and a piano were all John needed for the incredible two-hour set. Although a duet with The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers and special guest performances by legends Rina Sawayama, Stephen Sanchez, Jacob Lusk of Gabriels and The London Community Gospel Choir also proved serious stand-outs on the night.
