Allison Mack - LIFE AFTER PRISON

Two years after she was released from prison, Allison Mack's life is far removed from her celebrity heyday before she got involved with an infamous cult. Today, she is studying for a master's degree in social work and leads a fairly quiet existence with her husband, Frank Meeink.

She is also ready to take accountability for her actions as she speaks for the first time to a seven-part CBC podcast series called Allison after NXIVM.

"I don't see myself as innocent," Mack, 43, admitted. "I think that I capitalised on the things I had and so the success I had as an actor, I think I did capitalise on that." After a few early acting jobs, Mack really burst onto the scene in 2001 with a starring role on hit teen Superman series Smallville.

imageShe played Chloe Sullivan, a plucky journo on her high-school paper who was best friends with Clark Kent (Tom Welling). She was so popular on screen that she even got her own spin-off series called Smallville: Chloe Chronicles.

Her life slowly began to derail in 2006 when she and co-star Kristin Kreuk decided to sign up for a course with NXIVM.

"We both were at the point where we were 25," Mack explained. "We were in New York City together. It was our break.
