As parents, it’s a constant juggle — we want Nan in Perth to see those first steps, but we don’t want strangers screenshotting the same photo. And while our kids are busy begging for their own Instagram handles, we're quietly wondering if we've already overshared on their behalf.

imageAnd we're right to pause — by the end of 2025, Australia will implement a nationwide ban on social media accounts for under-16s, with platforms legally required to shut them down. It's a signal that the government, in the same way as many parents, is rethinking what kids should be exposed to online.
