Justice for Meredith Blake
Us Weekly
|August 25, 2025
When Meredith Blake — played by a then-26-year-old Elaine Hendrix — said, “Being young and beautiful is not a crime, you know,” in the 1998 classic The Parent Trap, we all scoffed.
The actress produced the Parent Trap parody Ginger Twinsies by Kevin Zak at NYC's Orpheum Theatre.
Nearly thirty years later, we're not so sure her iconic character was the bad guy in that story. Hendrix, 54, talks to Us about producing the off-Broadway parody Ginger Twinsies — which brings a fresh perspective to her character from the Nancy Meyers film — reuniting with Lindsay Lohan and more.
Meredith Blake has become such a gay icon. Why do you think that is?
