A CALIFORNIA man who says he heard Natalie Wood’s horrific final cries for help before her drowning death is speaking out exclusively to The National ENQUIRER in a desperate bid to convince authorities to convene a grand jury and indict the tragic beauty’s husband Robert Wagner for murder!

The witness, whose name we are withholding for his protection, recalls the West Side Story star screaming for her life before disappearing from the yacht Splendour off California’s Catalina Island on Nov. 28, 1981. He first gave his chilling account to homicide investigators in 2011 when the case was reopened, but until now it never saw the light of day!

“She was pleading for someone to help her,” notes the now 60-year-old witness, who says he was on a dive boat within 100 yards of Splendour. “She was screaming ‘Help me, help me!’ Then a few minutes went by, and I could still hear her crying, and then she let a loud one out, ‘HELP ME!’ ”

The bombshell testimony adds to a growing chorus of witnesses and investigators who are calling for newly minted Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman to compile the smoking gun evidence and convene a grand jury.
