CONNIVING Queen Camilla’s shocking decision to take an overseas vacation while King Charles battles deadly cancer was a “power play” to show stepson Prince William she’s now the family boss, a well-placed royal source tells The National ENQUIRER.
Simmering resentment between Camilla, 76, and Britain’s 41-year-old heir to the throne exploded after the queen insisted she — not William — take over Charles’ scheduled appearances when the monarch was sidelined in early February.
“William was furious,” dishes a high-level courtier. “He believed he should be the one standing in for his father.
“But Camilla went behind his back and told Charles it was unfair to ask William to shoulder more responsibilities while his wife, Princess Kate, was recovering from grueling abdominal surgery.
