Palace staffers reveal to Life & Style what Princess Kate is really like...

Her answer wasn't what one might expect from a future queen. "Whenever I can squeeze in exercise, I do," Princess Kate replied after being asked about her fitness routine at a recent event. "Even jumping on the trampoline with my children before school."

It was just a glimpse of Kate's private life behind palace walls but now royal staffers are revealing even more to Life & Style! "She prefers people don't fuss over her during her day-to-day life," one source says of the down-to-earth duchess. "Kate likes to do things herself."

That includes whipping up meals for the kids she shares with Prince William: Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4. "She cooks dinner every night," says the source. "Roast chicken, lasagna, and tacos are among her go-tos."

The 41-year-old also isn't afraid to dish out zingers to William, 40. "They joke around a lot," notes the source. "But like in most marriages, she'll complain to friends when he's getting on her nerves."

To keep their children in line, Kate who was spotted trick-or-treating in London last year - "created a fun chore chart," says the source. "The kids get gold stars for every little daily task they complete, from making their beds to filling the dog's water bowl. Their life with Kate is surprisingly normal!"
