LOVED ONES RALLY AROUND SARAH, DUCHESS OF YORK HOW SHE'S STAYING STRONG IN THE FACE OF A SECOND CANCER DIAGNOSIS

It was not the start to 2024 she was hoping for, especially after spending much of last year recovering from breast cancer. Two days into the new year, Sarah, Duchess of

York, received a second “distressing” diagnosis – this time in the form of malignant melanoma.

She shared her news publicly after spending a few weeks recuperating at Austria’s exclusive Mayrlife health retreat, which, according to friends, is her “haven.”

Now back in Windsor, surrounded by family, Sarah is determined that this latest setback won’t slow her down. As her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, rally around, allowing her to spend plenty of time with her grandchildren – Sienna, August and Ernest – Sarah exclusively tells Hello!: “They support me through thick and thin, not least my recent illness. We call ourselves ‘The Tripod’ because we prop each oher up, come what may.”

NO STOPPING HER

“Sarah is one of the most resilient people I have ever known,” a friend tells Hello! “A second diagnosis is a lot to deal with for anyone, but she won’t let it stop her. The girls and Andrew [Sarah’s ex-husband] are being amazing ... She’s been overwhelmed with how lovely everyone has been. It has really buoyed her up.”
