FROM TAYLOR TO CELINE, THE STARS DAZZLE AT A SHOW TO REMEMBER

IT'S LADIES NIGHT! - THE GRAMMY AWARDS

There is always a lot to celebrate on music's biggest night. But at the 66th Grammy Awards, it was the women who did much of the celebrating, taking home the lion's share of the coveted trophies. There's no doubt about it: girl power was in full force!

At an affair filled with heartwarming comebacks, surprise guests and show-stopping performances, one of the most thrilling moments unfolded when Taylor Swift - the ubiquitous female recording star of the moment - accepted Album of the Year for Midnights, setting a record for most wins ever in the category (that's four now for the hitmaker).

Rumours swirled as Grammy organizers promised that a spectacular icon would hand over the big prize, and the audience was delighted when Canadian superstar Celine Dion, 55, stepped onto the stage to do the honours.

On the arm of her eldest son, René-Charles Angélil, 23, Celine was greeted with a standing ovation in her first major public appearance since announcing in December 2022 that she is suffering from stiff person syndrome.

“You look beautiful,” she said to the crowd. “When I say I’m happy to be here, I really mean it from my heart.”

In a brief moment of awkwardness that didn’t go unnoticed by fans, Taylor, 34, accepted the award without acknowledging Celine. Social media outrage ensued, but backstage, the two icons were all smiles as they were photographed together.
