'I'M PRETTY MUCH SCARED OF EVERYTHING' JAMIE LEE CURTIS THE MOM OF TWO TALKS CHILDHOOD MEMORIES, FRIENDLY GHOSTS AND LIVING HER BEST LIFE

For someone revered as Tinseltown’s Scream Queen, it’s hard to believe that Jamie Lee Curtis doesn’t like watching scary movies.
“I’m pretty much scared of everything,” says the Halloween star, 64, laughing. “I’m easily scared. The irony of that is not lost on me!”
Still, that hasn’t stopped the Oscar winner, author, activist and licensed wedding officiant (she’s overseen several ceremonies, including her youngest daughter’s) from saying “I do” to roles that keep fans on the edge of their seats. Now she’s at her spooky best in Haunted Mansion – a remake of the 2003 film of the same name, based on Disney’s theme-park ride – as a psychic who’s trapped in a crystal ball.
At home, though, Everything Everywhere All at Once star Jamie Lee has nothing to be afraid of when her family is by her side. She’s been married to actor and director Christopher Guest, 75, for 38 years. And they’re the proud parents of two daughters – dance teacher Annie, 36, and gaming editor Ruby, 27 – as well as rescue pup Runi.
“He is ball obsessed,” she told Pet Companion Magazine of the adorable six-year-old white poodle mix, whose moniker is short for Karuna, the Sanskrit word for compassion – a trait that Jamie Lee herself is known for. “He will chase it, play with it and herd it. He’s a natural at herding, much like a cattle dog. He is just an incredible companion, and he’s changed our lives.”
Despite a milestone birthday coming up this fall that would see many her age working through bucket lists, the daughter of Hollywood legends Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh has no such plans in the works.
