All eyes were on the Princess of Wales during U.S. president Donald Trump's red-carpet return to Windsor Castle

The Kate effect wasn’t lost on U.S. President Donald Trump when he and First Lady Melania crossed the pond in September for their second official state visit to the U.K. - an invitation he called “truly one of the highest honours of my life.”

Landing in a helicopter on the grounds of Windsor Castle, the couple received a warm welcome from King Charles's designated greeters, the Prince and Princess of Wales. After shaking hands with William, 43, and asking how he was, Donald, 79, turned to Kate.

“You're so beautiful, so beautiful!” the U.S. leader proclaimed.
