AS SHE MAKES HER MARVEL DEBUT DAKOTA JOHNSON ON HER FAMOUS FAMILY, THAT FIFTY SHADES AUDITION AND THE PASSION SHE SHARES WITH GRANDMA TIPPI HEDREN

The newest member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has an impressive pedigree: her parents are Miami Vice heartthrob Don Johnson, 74, and Working Girl star Melanie Griffith, 66; she’s the granddaughter of Alfred Hitchcock muse Tippi Hedren, 94; and her stepdad is actor and director Antonio Banderas, 63.

If that’s not enough of a Hollywood connection, the Fifty Shades of Grey star shares a tight bond with Gwyneth Paltrow, 51, whose ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, 46, has been dating Dakota for six years.

“I love her so much – she’s an adorable, wonderful person,” Gwyneth has said of Dakota, who happily vacations with the Goop founder, Chris, their two children and Gwyneth’s husband, producer Brad Falchuk, 52.

With so much support in Dakota’s corner, no doubt the talk around the table is onset antics! She’s sure to have lots to share about her latest role as Cassandra Webb, a clairvoyant paramedic in the superhero flick Madame Web. “I hope I did an OK job!” she says, laughing.

Recently, Dakota, 34, opened up about her battle with depression – something she first experienced as a teenager. “If me saying one little hopeful thing or one maybe relatable thing can help one other person feel a little bit better or a little bit less alone with their experience, then I am a very willing advocate,” she says.

Here, Dakota lets us in on powerful women, hair-raising adventures and Tippi’s tip sheet.

What drew you to the role of Madame Web?
