A vision in gold, the Duchess of Sussex sparkled in the spotlight as she won a prestigious award in New York.

Accompanied by her husband the Duke and mother Doria Ragland, Meghan, 41, swept into Manhattan’s Ziegfeld Ballroom for the Ms Foundation’s Women of Vision Awards, where she was honoured for her global advocacy to empower women and girls.

She was presented with the award by her good friend and Ms magazine co-founder Gloria Steinem, whom she greeted with a warm hug after making her way to the podium to the sounds of Alicia Keys’s Girl on Fire.

Addressing the audience, the Duchess, who was wearing a £1,500 strapless gold dress by Johanna Ortiz with Tom Ford heels and a clutch from Carolina Herrera, delivered a passionate speech calling on women to take action.
