A-listers including Kate Moss and Madonna light up the front rows at Paris Fashion Week

It's fair to say that Anthony Vaccarello succeeded – and as a bonus, the show was as starry as possible, too.

Paris Fashion Week always brings out the A-listers, and last week's show was attended by none other than Kate Moss and Madonna.

Even by its own standards, the Saint Laurent show, which rounded up the first full day of the Paris fashion calendar, was a high-wattage affair. And that's before you even consider the Eiffel Tower sparkling in the background, lit up as if garlanded with thousands of twinkling gold stars.

It's a rarity to see Madonna at a fashion show, yet here she was, looking like the ultimate Material Girl in a cropped and belted leather jacket worn with a semi-sheer black lace skirt.

She was joined by her daughter, Lourdes Leon, who looked radiant in a plunge-fronted black dress worn with bold gold earrings and a tiny gold clutch.

ENDURING STYLE

It was less of a surprise to see Croydon-born supermodel Kate, given that she's a longtime ambassador of the brand, as well as the face of its autumn 2025 campaign.

She looked the quintessence of chic in a black smoking jacket, its impact maximised by being paired simply with sheer black tights and glossy black stilettos. No matter that the show started at 8pm: she has earned the right to wear her sunglasses at night.
