We speak to fitness coach Joe Wicks to find out how to stay healthy during the holidays - and his top advice for sticking to New Year resolutions

- KATE LOCKETT

RECIPE for change

As YouTube's The Body Coach, Joe Wicks kept many of us active during lockdown with his online PE classes. Now the 38-year-old fitness coach, who was awarded an MBE in 2020 for his efforts, is encouraging us to get fit and happy in his new book Feel Good in 15.

Filled with tips and tricks, Joe's 14th book aims to help you feel good with 15-minute recipes, workouts and wellness exercises.

"I want to get everybody into the mindset of, even if you don't have a full workout in you, spending 15 minutes stretching or doing a workout in the bedroom or garden," he tells HELLO!.

Here, Joe discusses balancing his wellbeing with a busy family life as father to Indie, five, Marley, three, and one year-old Leni, with wife Rosie, 31, and shares the valuable life advice he received from his own dad...

Joe, what can we expect in your new book?

"It combines 15-minute recipes and 15-minute workouts for any fitness level, including mobility workouts, strength training and bodyweight exercises. They are accessible and can be done at home because it isn't always necessary to spend an hour exercising or have a gym membership. There are also lifestyle hacks and 15-minute daily wins to pick up your energy and mood.

"You can't transform your life in 15 minutes, but you can do one thing that will help you feel good, and it's a knock-on effect.

"You might not have the energy to exercise, but you could do some journalling, go for a walk or call up a family member. There's so many ways to boost your mental health other than just exercising."

Can you share a mood-boosting exercise we can do at home?
