James Middleton and his wife Alizée Thevenet made a rare public appearance as they stepped out with their baby son Inigo last week.

The new parents enjoyed a festive evening on Thursday at the Dogs Trust Carol Concert at Chelsea Old Church in West London, where James gave a reading of a poem, What I Learned about Love, I Learned from My Dog.

Making it a family affair, the couple were accompanied by two of their pet dogs, golden retrievers Mabel and Isla.

Showing no signs of sleepless nights, James and Alizée, who welcomed Inigo in October, looked remarkably fresh for the Christmas outing. And it was clear that the animal charity appreciated the family's support.

Chief executive Owen Sharp tells HELLO!: "Our annual carol concert is a great time to celebrate the work of Dogs Trust and the UK's love of dogs. We were delighted that James and his family were able to join us, and we were especially excited to be joined by so many dogs, including Mabel and Isla.
