Exuding Hollywood glamour, George and Amal Clooney were the pinnacle of style as they attended the 14th annual DVF Awards, hosted by fashion designer Diane von Furstenburg, at the Sala degli Arazzi of the Giorgio Cini Foundation in Venice.

Looking as deeply in love as when they exchanged their wedding vows, the couple - who celebrate their ninth anniversary later this month were full of affection for each other. The actor, 62, draped a gentle hand around his wife's waist, looking smitten as she stole the show in a stunning vintage Dior blush pink gown with a drop-waist tulle skirt overlay, from John Galliano's autumn 2000 collection.

It was a visit high on romance for the couple, who have spent much of the summer in Italy. They own a property on Lake Como, while Venice - where they married in September 2014 in a spectacular, star-studded ceremony, shared exclusively in the pages of HELLO! - has a special place in their hearts.

The spotlight was on the 45-year-old human rights lawyer as she received the prestigious DVF Leadership Award, which honours influential women who have shown commitment to notable causes.
