Celebrity guests join the parade of elegant looks as Chanel launches its latest Cruise collection in Italy’s stunningly beautiful lake district

Few destinations in the world are as glamorous as Lake Como’s Villa d’Este. The Italian hotel has welcomed guests including Elizabeth Taylor, Marlene Dietrich and Greta Garbo, so it was only fitting that the luxurious residence was selected as the venue for the latest Chanel Cruise catwalk show.

Wearing a full-length cream gown with giant black bows, Keira Knightley led the arrivals at the star-studded event, posing on the shores of the picturesque lake.

“I saw this look in Chanel’s fall 2025 show and thought: ‘Yes, please.’ I mean, you always need bows. Whenever there’s a bow, I’m: ‘Yes! Absolutely,” said the actress, who is an ambassador for the label.

“I’ve always loved Chanel because of the history of the brand. Timeless yet modern, it’s constantly reinventing something that is always wearable and totally chic. You're always in safe hands with Chanel. Being reunited here in Italy with the Chanel family feels like a beautiful celebration of artistry and friendship.”
