The scandalweary king is disturbed by the claims made against his late relative, royal insiders share
SICKLY King Charles has been rocked by renewed accusations that his late great-uncle and beloved mentor Lord Mountbatten was a twisted pedophile who raped young boys — including residents of a notorious children's home in Belfast, sources say.
A recently released book by former BBC journalist Chris Moore reports disturbing claims that Mountbatten, who was assassinated in 1979 when the Irish Republican Army bombed his boat, sexually abused minors in Northern Ireland — and that the government covered up the vile crimes.
A royal insider says of the scandal-weary monarch, "It's just blow after blow for him."
