Shrugs off her cancer nightmare to save monarchy
-

DEVASTATED by months of grueling chemotherapy, Prince William’s courageous, cancer-stricken wife, Kate, made a triumphant return to royal duties amid a rock star reception!
The gutsy, whip-thin, 42-year-old royal, dressed in an eye-commanding purple dress, received a thunderous welcome when she made a sudden appearance with nine-year-old daughter Charlotte at the Wimbledon final tennis match where Carlos Alcaraz beat Novak Djokovic on July 14.
“Great to be back!” she told the adoring throng.
Says a palace courtier: “The future queen’s last-minute appearance at Wimbledon was a well-orchestrated personal comeback designed to save the monarchy.
“The stadium erupted when she arrived with Princess Charlotte. The standing ovation from the star-studded crowd was the boost the royal family desperately needed after so many senior members suffered unprecedented lifethreatening illnesses and accidents this year.
“It also cemented her position as the No. 1 royal in the eyes of the public — over William and King Charles!

As GLOBE has reported, the future of the royals was teetering on the brink with so much chaos and health issues, but Kate courageously rallied from her deadly diagnosis to reenergize support for the monarchs.

ROCK ON!
PHIL DANIELS plays a restless London youth in the 1979 British movie Quadrophenia, based on the Who's rock opera - but oddly, the chaotic production was not a musical, and the Who does not even appear in it! The lead was supposed to go to JOHN LYDON - better known as Johnny Rotten of notorious punk band the Sex Pistols - but the film's distributors thought he was too dicey a personality to insure. Nevertheless, production did not go smoothly. The Who's legendary drummer, KEITH MOON, died during filming, and a brawl scene in the seaside city of Brighton used two real- life rival gangs, resulting in a \"real riot - health and safety didn't come into it,\" according to Daniels.
