The Indian OTT industry was celebrated in all its brilliance at the much-anticipated Danube Properties Filmfare OTT Awards 2024, co-powered by Hyundai & Uttar Pradesh Mahakumbh 2025, held on December 1, in Mumbai. This star-studded evening not only honoured the best of web series and web original films but also highlighted the remarkable storytelling, acting and technical artistry that have defined the Indian digital entertainment space. Among the evening's big winners, Amar Singh Chamkila emerged as the undisputed champion, scooping up 10 awards, including Best Web Original Film. The gripping historical drama The Railway Men followed closely with six awards, while Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar took home five and Guns & Gulaabs bagged four. The night was a dazzling celebration of creativity across 50 categories, from acting, direction, music, to special recognition for those pushing boundaries in technical innovation. Rajkummar Rao took home the Best Actor (Male), Series: Comedy Award for his brilliant performance in Guns & Gulaabs, while Kareena Kapoor Khan captured hearts with her powerful role in Jaane Jaan, earning the Best Actor (Female), Web Original Film trophy. Rajkummar said he had always loved doing comedy, and winning an award for a series that also had thriller elements made the victory all the more sweet. Later, his wife, Patralekhaa, congratulated him in a long post, calling him the hardest-working man in the room. Kareena graciously thanked her co- actors, Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma, adding that working with great actors elevates an artiste's own performance. She also gave a big shout out to the three men in her life, husband Saif Ali Khan and sons Tim and Jeh, saying they helped her become who she is today. She also mentioned she couldn't have achieved it without her director Sujoy Ghosh.
