TRAI's proposal for satellite spectrum allocation aims to enhance Internet access and drive digital inclusion across India.
-
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has proposed administrative allocation of spectrum for satellite-based communication services to accelerate the rollout of satellite internet in India. On 9 May, TRAI outlined a plan that includes a minimum annual usage fee of Rs 3,500 per MHz for spectrum blocks, with an additional 4% levy on Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR).
