First class in the sky, private lane on the ground
Voice and Data
|April 2025
Private 5G is redefining enterprise connectivity with tailored control, security, and performance—much like flying business class in a crowded world.

IT is the same aircraft. Same pilot. Same route. Same destination. Same turbulence too, if it so happens. And yet, corporate executives usually find their seats in a different milk-and-honey section—all curtains and cocktails. They do not mind paying through their noses either, for being seated closer to the plane's nose. It is not just about the extra leg-room, ultra-soft fragrant face towels, and à la carte menus, of course.
Also, there is more than all that satin here. It is about dedicated service, personalised-plus-personal space, priority service, no latency during boarding or deplaning, no jitter, no ambient noise, and the luxury of being insulated from fellow passengers, even when seated in the same tube. No elbows rubbing. No eternity spent in a queue.
Wait! This sounds almost like the brochure of a private 5G service. Dedicated. Personalised. Priority. Devoid of latency. Free of delays. Exactly the reasons for charging corporate customers far more than their economy counterparts. Do they like flying this way? Are the curtains worth the trouble? For the crew as well as the customers?
PRIVATE 5G. UNDERSCORING ‘PRIVATE’.
There is a reason that this market is showing so much potential, especially for verticals like mining, utilities, smart cities, agriculture, education, manufacturing, logistics and defence. After all, it is a secure wireless network crafted and sliced specially for a vertical or an enterprise to connect devices and manage communication, sprinkled with better control, speed, privacy, faster data speeds, increased capacity, and ultra-low latency when compared to public networks.
