Piccadily Agro Industries Limited became the first Indian alco-bev company to implement NFC-based smart label technology on its premium Indri Single Malt whisky bottles.

Through its partnership with ForgeStop, Piccadily introduced a secure and consumer-friendly solution to tackle the growing issue of counterfeit alcohol in India.
The ForgeStop smart labels used on Indri bottles incorporated EM Microelectronic echo-V chips with dynamic token technology and 128-bit AES encryption—features typically found in banking systems. These labels also offered tag-tamper detection, alerting consumers if a bottle seal had been previously broken. Piccadily integrated this solution directly into its production line, creating a unique digital identity for each bottle at the point of manufacture.
