The restaurant and F&B professionals came together on the single platform to interact, share their knowledge and experiences on various topics related to customer engagements, food taste, quality, best practices, regulatory issues and future trends in the food service industry. Keeping in mind the theme of Indian Restaurant Congress 2023, ‘Consistency, Convenience, and Connection’, experts shared their insights on how to build a consistent business that drives convenience and has an emotional connect with the customers.
Innovation is Key
It is always important to keep innovating the brand in a restaurant business. Innovation is the only key to remain ‘open’ for long as people are attracted to a brand that keeps reinventing itself and there’s always something new for them when they enter the restaurant.
“Over the years, the industry has witnessed a seismic shift in consumer preferences, particularly in the oriental food segment. Adapting to these evolving tastes and trends is essential for staying relevant,” shared Anjan Chatterjee, Chairman and MD, Speciality Restaurants. His son representing the younger generation, brings in fresh knowledge and innovative ideas to challenge traditional approaches. This highlighted the importance of embracing change and innovation within family-run businesses.
